About Light Painting
Light painting is the process of leaving the camera’s shutter open for an extended period of time while using a light source to draw an image in the frame. All of my light painting images are captured in one frame, and there is no photo processing “trickery” or compositing. Some of the images take 10 seconds to create, some take up to 10 minutes. During this time the camera is constantly exposing the image. I am not visible in the images because I am wearing dark colors and am almost constantly moving. Some of the tools I use include standard steel wool, homemade light ball rigs, and hand-made tools I have bought from other industrious light painters.
