Isolation & Light

The photos in this exhibition reflect the duality of isolation and revelation that was part of our collective experience the past two years. I, like many, spent a lot of time entirely alone during the first six months of the Covid quarantine. Some of that time was spent with a very deep feeling of lonely isolation. But upon looking back on those months, I have realized that this time has also provided me the opportunity to gain insights into my self that I would likely have never confronted. The photos in this exhibition have all been taken since March 2020, after the sun sets, in the dark of isolation. But through their long exposures, the images reveal the light and beauty that can be found when we take the time to shine a light at unexpected places, in unexpected ways.
